GUIDE TO THE MALL: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW 1-O-1

MALL! MALL! MALL!

Since its inception into this country, it has become more of a sleeping place for most Ghanaians especially the youth than a shopping area and point of rendez-vous. Some people go window shopping, others go to take photo sessions, some to meet friends, others watch movies, some too go there just to satisfy their fake facebook accounts they have been to the mall with selfies. Some of us like myself go there to make observations and do kokonsa when we come back, mind you, we buy stuff when we get there.

What you need to know:
It’s been over 2 years since I last visited
the mall. A quick visit to the mall
today caught my thoughts. There
were certain observations I made
and would like to bring to mind.
These are actually things you really
need to know. Here, I categorize
them into 3 groups; General, Men
and Women.

GENERAL:
1. You must own a smart phone or a
laptop. Which belongs to you not a ‘la-borrow’. If it's 'la-borrow' hide anything that will give you out. people are on the look out at laughing at you.

2. You should have a British or American accent. French is allowed aussi.

3. You must be in a designer wear. Not a squee-gee printed top with inscriptions like YMCMB, E DEY BEE, ALL DIE BE DIE. nope!! never wear those. Kumasiano is allowed.

4. You should have a credit card.

Men:

1. You should dress as if you
entering a cold store.

2. Get a headset or earpiece and
pretend listening to music even if there’s nothing playing.

3. Never forget your wallet or credit card.
Serious taboo. You may never know which of your exes you would meet.

4. Never tell a girl you are footing
the bills. You would go home broke.

WOMEN:
1. You should be in Shorts (not pants), 1/2 length dress, a
blouse. Preferably a designer one.

2. Trousers is not allowed. Except
for leggings not one that will show the world your panties.

3. Hairstyle: preferably a brazilian or peruvian hair do. All will be checked at the entrance of every shop.

4. Carry a bottled water along. It
can be new or filled with tap water
or sachet water( no one will know).

5. Apply lipsticks of different brands not lipstick and a
lot of face powder.

6. You can also deliberately forget
your purse i.e if you trust the guy going with you.
If not carry it along some guys like me budget for only the food and that’s all.

These are the few things I observed cos I didn’t keep long just four
hours.
But the most important of these all
is your smartphone make sure it’s fully charged cos your date can disappoint you big time and you would need to pretend you just there to catch some air.
