If my Bible is credible enough, which I believe it is, prophets of old were sent by God to warn the people.

Such pronouncements came as a result of the things the people were doing which displeased God.

Take for instance, the 10 Plagues that befell Egypt. It was the price they paid for being disrespectful to God's command.

We can look at that of Samuel, Elijah, Jonah, Elisha and a few other prophets whose prophecies came to past as a result of people not turning away from their sins towards God.

I don't remember a prophecy in the Bible where a calamity was pronounced without a forewarning.

Fast track to the 21st Century where God is now on Social Media and can avert calamities by followers typing 'Amen'.

As though it's not enough, we have supposed men of God acting as Lucifer in Heaven now.

We wake up to prophecies being thrown left, right, front, back, centre as though it's a Supabet prediction. The kind of prophecies we are getting in this era are mostly a Prediction of bad events without a reason why it will happen and nothing being done to avert the supposed prophesized calamities.

We therefore watch so-called men of God cause fear and panic and walk scot-free. It's supposed to be illegal. What will make their trial difficult is the lack of evidence that the person didn't get the supposed prophecy.

It's about time these nonsense are put to a stop.

For me, I feel the prophecies they make are just items from JuJu men to help the supposed prophets be greater among their peers.

Till then, I think it's about time such people are arrested on the basis of causing fear and panic.

If not, let's keep avoiding the Motorway and Accra Mall on Thursdays and probably declare Thursdays as a No Mall Day in Ghana.
