Rwanda is this, Rwanda is that. You only get to talk about Rwanda cos they let you read what you must read but if Ghana government shuts down 2 radio stations for not meeting regulation requirements then they'll go and pull out Press Freedom index and it will become the topic of discussion for days with various press conferences and campaigns.

We want development but we don't want leadership that will hold us by the balls to take us there.

The Ghana-Rwanda comparison is crap. It gets sickening day in, day out. It's like comparing a laissez-faire parent to a strict parent. In Ghana we have the liberal or laissez-faire parent of a government who will be seen as wicked if he disciplines his kids. Nothing he does impresses his children. On the other hand there's the strict parent in Rwanda who gets things going cos of his strictness.

Ghanaians the bunch of kids from a spoilt home who will see children from a strict home excelling and say, we want to be like them but they get into the strict parents' home and realise the process is not easy.

We Ghanaians be wanna own downfall. We criticise and pray any good government policy fails so we can use it for politics yet when Rwanda does it we are quick to jump to Facebook and type "Our leaders have failed us", "Ghana is just a piece of shit", "Tweaaaa when will we get there?"

Our leaders are not from any country. They're a part of our society and they're a reflection of our society. If you don't want to be disciplined, they will act irresponsible and leave you to do what you want. When the money comes, they'll spend cos even if they use the money for something good people will still kick against it.

In 2008 and 2012 people didn't vote for Nana Addo cos propaganda said he was strict and a possible dictator so they went for the smooth-talking calm Uncle Atta. When he started becoming wild, they said "oh but we didn't vote for you to become wild".

If we are not ready to pass through fire to be refined, we shouldn't expect change. Rwanda, after all they've been through should be enjoying the type of democracy we have and not us. Our coup d'États didn't help us but I doubt we suffered much than what Rwanda went through.

We are not where we have to be but it all comes down to us the people. Before we make any comparison of countries, go and read about the leadership type that got them developed in a quick time. We need a strict leader, a dictator who will allow freedom to function but stand on his grounds to make things happen.

Democracy is just a way of letting the Western world manipulate us through the media. Why don't they send their activism and what nots to China and North Korea? You see? Yet these two countries are world powers.

We are just a bunch of spoilt kids chale.
