Letter To Nonsense

Dear Nonsense,

I know I am the first person in history to write you this letter and people would say, "That's Nonsense", of course, it's a letter to nonsense so why should I bother?

Mr. Nonsense, even before I was ejected into this world, you existed and you still reign. When Adam said, "Lord, I'm  naked" in response to a simple question of "where are you?", you were there.

When atheists say there is no God meanwhile they are called atheists because there is God, your presence is felt. When two people of the same sex decide to marry each other, you are there. Not to talk of the humans who prefer animals to humans for sexual pleasure. I hope you are not battling with God for the omnipresent attribute cos that would also be pure nonsense.

This letter is just to tell you to back off from certain aspects of life. You seem to have no disrespect for society hence you spread your tentacles to every aspect of life without regards. This your contagious behaviour, is surprisingly affecting the elite in society and I think it's about time this nonsense of yours stopped.

Anas, our best investigative journalist, recently under-covered corruption-acts in the judiciary sect of our country and since then, there have been so many controversies. My problem here is, I found you sitting on this matter. I mean, how can you ask that Anas edits the video?

You claim integrity and status are at stake but then when the innocent are thrown into jail because they had no money to talk for them, you think their integrity and status are still intact? What pains me most is the fact that you are working through learned people of the bar who are suing and want injunctions placed on Anas and the video respectively. 

Funny enough, those filing the suit are people of high honor when it comes to the judiciary in Ghana. Nonsense, you are just too interesting. The suit was to affect all pen drives and portable media and storage device sellers in the country. I mean how? Whether you like it or not, we would still watch it unedited so stop campaigning.

While at church on Sunday, I saw you parading the church during service. I don't know why you tend to be even in the house of God and sadly, you use our praying papas and mamas for your adventures. So now there is this new development in churches, especially students' service, don't know for off-campus churches, where during praying sessions, we have prayer warriors picking up microphones to pray in them.

Like a lead and backing vocalists, they mounted the stage all set to minister tongues to the detriment of what I call, low in spiritual prayers.

What nonsense too is that one? Who wants to hear them pray and blow tongues? Who do they try to impress with their tongues? It has become worrisome not because I can't pray like they do but then they are behaving like the Pharisee in the temple who was praying out loud for his prayers to be heard and the Bible speaks against it. You can check Luke 18: 9- 11 and you would realise you are over-using these Papas and Mamas for your nonsense. If we are all to use microphones to pray, there is going to be chaos. Mr. Nonsense please leave our churches, leave the Papas and Mamas, leave the boy who dances for attention...........just don't meddle with God's work.

Mr. Nonsense, I know you are already pissed by reading this love letter but then I have one more request; leave our politics. In this democratic era, you still want to practise autocracy by not giving way to sense to also speak in our politics? Most often, anytime there is politics in this country, you tend to be there. It seems so true that where two or more politicians are debating, nonsense is in their midst.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not talkimg about politics at the national level only but that of tertiary politics. You influence these academic minds to act like a sex-starved man who would do anything to get himself satisfied. We see these young lads promising to do stuff they can't accomplish in two academic semesters. They go all the way bribing students to vote for them.

The nonsense here is, after voting them into office, they tend to recover their debt by entering the coffers hence nothing is done. Students tend to complain cos they see no progress. My question is, "while you took their money and petty gifts, didn't you know it was just to ride on your backs to gain more in office?" The nonsense tentacles is just everywhere and we just can't tell if the education is not enough or it's social influence.

Nonsense, please I, on behalf of all Ghanaians including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Africans and the world at large, kindly take a bow and leave the stage. Like the adage says, "you leave the stage when the applause is high." The applause is just deafening and I would advise you give way for Sense to come and perform.

But don't go yet, cos you awaken the brain cell and if everything in society makes sense it would be boring. All we want is for you to relax and stop meddling in our affairs.

This nonsense must stop!!!
