The Ghana Meteorological Service in a press statement released today have stated that Bukom Banku's bleaching is in complete vain. This comes as a result of the latest weather development which is to hit some parts of the Earth.
Speaking to Radio Bavard, head of the Tanning Department, Dr. Daniel Selase said the Earth is likely to face excessive heating from now till 20th May, 2016. He explained it to be as a result of the sun's position right above the equator in this period.
When asked about the health implications, he said aside the many health implications, one was likely to suffer from heat stroke if exposed too much to the heat. When the host for the show, Manuel Mensah, asked him about the effect to those who have bleached he didn't hesitate to answer. He said, "it's rather unfortunate but those who have bleached are likely to regain normal complexion within 7 days. They are going to need more toning or bleaching creams to maintain their complexion."
Efforts to reach the Bantam Weight Champion, Africa Mayweather, Ghana's 007, Bukom Banku proved futile. The boxer who had been in the news for wrong reasons this past week for bleaching confirmed he has been bleachingto gain ambassadorial appointment should President Mahama win this year's election. This news comes as a blow to him but sources close to the boxer have said he's bought umbrellas and more bleaching creams to sustain him throughout the period.
On concluding, Dr. Selase said, "Previously, Ghana wasn't on the equator till 6th March, 2016 when we moved our geographical position from above the equator to finally lie on it. It's the first of it's kind and we believe Ghanaians would adapt to their new climatic region in no time. But in no way is this alarming. We just have to be on guard."
Oh yeah Doc, we trust Ghanaians would. This is no problem at all. We've lived in this economy for many years. 3 weeks weather no be problem at all.
