Of The Cedi Race, Amissah-Arthur's Ghost, Vigilantism and the National Cathedral

This week, Facebook Page managers, importers and those of us who have cars to clear from the ports have been pushed to 'be careful' by the athletism of the Ghana Cedis against the US Dollar.

In what I'll term the speed of light Reece against the Dollar, the Cedi reaching Gh¢5 against a dollar leaves many Ghanaians to thinking if this is the change we've voted for.

Throwback to pre-2016 elections, Dr. Bawumia, current Veep, then running mate on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party gave us all economic theories to Forex martial arts theories on how to arrest the Dollar.

This even led to a proposal of establishing a US military base in Ghana to teach our military men how to catch the Dollar but thanks to the NDC who don't want anything good for the country. The deal didn't see the light of the day and that was it.

Still on pre-2016 elections, Dr. Bawumia have then Veep, the Late Dr. Amissah-Arthur 170 economic questions to answer. Something he wasn't able to answer till he met his untimely death.

Today, it's the onus of Dr. Bawumia to answer the 170 questions he set for his Economics class student which unfortunately answers have not been found.

While many have propounded and keep propounding theories to back why the Cedi is depreciating at rocket speed, there is another school of thought which believes it's more spiritual than it meets the eye.

This school of thought believes the spirit of Amissah-Arthur could be haunting the Cedi hence its unprecedented fall. They believe it is to teach Bawumia a lesson that you can't criticise if you've not been a Veep before.

This could be true as it's evident before us that economic jargons and 170 questions is not the solution to our economic woes.

What then is/are the solution(s)?

The National Cathedral and Vigilante. Yes, these two are our only solutions.

After the Cathedral is built Archbishop Duncan-Williams can pray louder for the Cedi to rise against the Dollar.

Archangel Obinim in collaboration with Rev. Obofuor can also be assigned into the spiritual realms to negotiate with Amissah-Arthur to stop haunting the Cedi.

The National Cathedral is the last stop to our problems. If Dr. Bawumia is able to arrest the Dollar, we will just take it to the Cathedral and exorcise the spirit of appreciation from it.

Whether you make noise or not, the Cathedral, we will build but as to whether Bawumia will be able to arrest the Dollar, I can't tell.

I believe a sole action by Baweezy to arrest the Dollar is going to be fruitless, unless it is  done in collaboration with the various political Vigilante Groups.

Therefore, let's handover the Dollar or rather the Cedi, whichever needs to be arrested to the Delta and Invisible Forces, The Hawks, The Dragons and The Azorka Boys to do their jobs to keep them busy in the meanwhile while we create jobs for them.

Or maybe we could just sit down and keep praying. Who knows? It could just be a Hi5 the Cedi is giving the Dollar. It will definitely drop its arm when it's tired.
