Letter To My Heart: Don't Fall In Love (Feminine Rejoinder)

Dear Heart,

Nii has said a lot in the last letter. It gives me some nostalgia I quickly want to share cos my heart is heavy and can't hold it any longer. I know you still remember like it was yesterday. When that guy you chose for us decided to go his way and leave us in a jumbled state. 

If you've forgotten then take this as a reminder. NO hard feelings but it's just a way of reminding you of the fact that you that you don't always make a great choice. 

Dear heart, like Nii advised, please don't fall in love with any guy. Even if he tells you he would buy you a plot in heaven. What haven't we heard before yet we stood at Accra Mall weeping because the one you chose for us never showed up.

I know you find it hard to listen but remember how we hardly slept and how we can't still get you back together. It was just us in that struggle without him. 

So until there's a cure for a broken heart and a vaccine for sleepless nights we won't hold anyone in that special place. Maybe after we wear our academia robe and throw our graduation cap or after we've bought our first car whatever dreams we want  to reach let's  get there I believe love can come later.

We both know we've run out of explanations, and we don't have time for stories. Why don't we meet all the guys out there. Flirt with the cute ones avoid the boring ones, and enjoy the funny ones.

Please dear heart don't fall in love till there's a spa that massages an aching heart. 

Lets continue to enjoy our freedom of being single. I love you and your health is mine also. Let's live healthily.
