So one way or the other we attend driving schools to gain knowledge and skills on how to drive.

We are taught the dos and don'ts of driving and all that. The most important one is about speeding especially in an urban or peri-urban area.

Hilary Angus puts it this way:
...driving slowly gives you more time to react to unexpected situations, lessening your chances of hitting that pedestrian in the first place.

Unexpected situations. That's where the hidden truth lies. So you're driving in a town or city, what is the unexpected situation you're likely to encounter? Careless driving by other drivers, careless riding by bikers and motorists, or careless road crossing by people? You're right but you left out one thing - the chance of meeting a fine girl.

So imagine you're driving at say 50km/h and you meet a fine girl by the road. You're left with two options - either to apply your brakes immediately and pose danger to other road users or you just have to live the rest of the day regretting you didn't look at her well. Sorry bro, speeding in the city is at your disadvantage.

How you're able to stare when driving at 5km/h

Now imagine driving at 30km/h and come across a nice girl by the road side. You have so many options, in fact lots of them. You can stop and offer her a ride, you can slow down even more to admire her better, you pretend you're lost in the hood and need directions, you can just be nice and alight to talk to her.

All these things open doors for future things. Yeah, I know the perverts and brostitutes can relate, see how you're smiling.
Ah well, since it's a New Year I just felt I should remind you to limit your speed on the road to avoid putting the lives of everyone including yourself at risk.
